NAIHP is currently fighting for small business housing professionals on several fronts. Our Legislative and Regulatory Affairs Team is aggressively combating issues such as, the Loan Officer Compensation Rule, Appraiser Independence (formerly known as HVCC), QRM, the FDIC's pursuit of loan repurchases by brokers, the unfair and deceptive practices by some affiliated business arrangements and more.

NAIHP has submitted an amendment to Congress to dissolve the loan officer compensation rule for traditional mortgages. We have wide support by Congress and trade associations. In addition, we have submitted a plan to the CFPB to remove the prohibition on brokers from ordering appraisals, which will restore true appraiser independence and reduce consumer costs.

In order to stop these anti-competitive, job killing rules, NAIHP is asking for your support. Housing professionals can help in two ways. 1) Donate to this fund. 2) Join NAIHP for only $50.00 a year and ask 5 friends to join as well.  

The suggested “minimum” contribution is $100.00. per person. If you are able to donate additional funds, it would be greatly appreciated and is much needed. 

Legal Defense Fund:  $100.00.  This contribution will be used exclusively for fighting the issues listed above, not for operating expenses.
